Good preparation is crucial to prevent paint problems and ensures a durable paint system.
- Make sure to clean the surface of dirt, including lime, with an appropriate cleaning agent.
- If the substrate has been painted with traditional wall paint, you should use Super Stripper Hydro to remove the paint.
Moisten the substrate the evening before you start working with Kalei Minéral.
Apply two coats of Kalei Minéral with a limewash brush. The first coat may show some cracks, which will be corrected in the second coat.
- Allow 24 hours to dry before applying the second coat.
If you want to overpaint Kalei Minéral with Muur Buiten Pearl, you must respect a drying time of 30 days. This paint ensures an even color and makes the wall easier to maintain.
