How to apply lime paint in the bedroom?

Wall preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and dust-free. Remove old paint layers or wallpaper for optimal results.

Applying primer: Apply a suitable primer to ensure even absorption and improve the adhesion of the lime paint. In most cases, we recommend our Primer Muur.

First coat of lime paint: Apply the lime paint with a wide brush or block brush in crisscross motions to create the characteristic color nuances. Dilute the first coat with a maximum of 10% water and let it dry thoroughly. Do not use a roller, as it can cause streaks.

Second coat of lime paint: Apply a second coat, diluting it with 10 to a maximum of 30% water, depending on the desired effect. The more dilution, the more colour variations and texture you can create. If desired, you can apply a third coat.

Finishing: For extra protection, you can finish the wall with Muur Sealer. This protects the lime paint and gives the wall a subtle sheen.
