The Sundae house 3.0: an Art Deco home full of colour, character, and Paintfactory paint
The Sundae house is a beautiful example of how a characterful home can be given a fresh, contemporary look without losing its soul. Eline from Sundae renovated an Art Deco house from 1938 and transformed it into a stylish home where colour, texture, and paint play a major role.
For this renovation, Paintfactory paint was chosen. From wall paint and Lime Paint to Bruut: each room received a carefully considered colour and finish that suits the ambiance of the house.
Colour advice at home for the Sundae house
Before starting the painting work, a colour consultant from Paintfactory visited Eline from Sundae. During this colour consultation, the focus was not only on which colours would be suitable, but also on the atmosphere she wanted to create in each room.
An Art Deco house from 1938 already has a lot of character. Therefore, it was important to choose colours that enhance the architecture, while at the same time making the interior fresh and contemporary. Account was taken of natural light, materials, existing elements, and the function of each room.
This resulted in a color palette that harmonizes throughout the entire Sundae house, yet gives each room its own feel.

Picking up paint at Paintfactory Roeselare
After the colour consultation, Eline picked up the paint at Paintfactory Roeselare. There, the right products, colours, and finishes were prepared for the different rooms in the house.
For the Sundae house, a conscious decision was made to work with different types of paint. Wall paint provides a sleek, even base. Lime paint brings soft colour nuances and a natural look. Bruut, in turn, adds mineral texture and extra character.
This combination makes the interior warm, layered, and personal.

A stylish entrance hall in Humusbeige
The entrance hall is the first space you see when you enter. That's why a warm and inviting colour was chosen here: wall paint in Humusbeige.
Humusbeige immediately gives the entrance hall a soft, natural look. The colour feels warm without becoming dark and fits beautifully with the stylish ambiance of the Art Deco house.
The shoe storage was also included in the colour scheme. It was painted with wall paint in Risottowit. This light shade keeps the space fresh, practical, and calm.

Kitchen and dining area with Bruut and Risottowit
In the kitchen and dining area, transparent Bruut was used in combination with wall paint in the colour Risottowit. Bruut gives the walls a subtle mineral texture, adding depth and character to the space.
Risottowit provides a light, soft base that works well for a kitchen and dining area. The colour feels fresh and timeless, while the texture of Bruut makes the whole thing a little more exciting.
This creates a space that is stylish, yet remains warm and livable.

Sunken seating area in Kalkverf Zwarte Woudgroen
One of the most characteristic spaces in the Sundae house is the sunken seating area. Here, Kalkverf in the colour Zwarte Woudgroen was chosen.
This deep green shade creates a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Ideal for a seating area where you want to relax. The lime paint gives the colour extra nuance and depth, making the walls feel less flat.
Zwarte Woudgroen enhances the cocooning feeling of the sunken seating area and makes it a real eye-catcher.

Home office in Marineblauw
The home office was painted with wall paint in Navy Blue. This deep blue shade is a strong choice for a workspace. Navy Blue brings calm, focus, and elegance to the interior.
The desk was finished with transparent Bruut. This keeps the look subtle and natural, while still giving the furniture a refined, matte texture.
The combination of Marineblauw and transparent Bruut makes the home office stylish and functional.

Master bedroom in Venusschelpbeige and Risottowit
In the master bedroom, a soft combination of lime paint in Venusschelpbeige and wall paint in Risottowit was chosen.
Venusschelpbeige brings warmth, softness, and tranquility to the bedroom. Risottowit keeps the whole space light and fresh. Together, they create a bedroom that feels calm and timeless.
The dressing room next to the bedroom was also included in the colour palette. Bruut in Venusschelpbeige was used there. By using the same shade in a textured finish, the dressing room remains connected to the bedroom, but still gets its own look.

Master bathroom in Bruut Café Latte Beige
The master bathroom was painted with Bruut in the colour Café Latte Beige. This warm beige shade fits perfectly in a bathroom where peace and comfort are central.
Café Latte Beige in Bruut feels soft, natural, and stylish. The color brings warmth to the room without being heavy. This gives the bathroom a relaxed and timeless look.
First children's room in Kasseigrijs and Bloesemwit
In the first children's room, wall paint in Kasseigrijs and Bloesemwit was used. This combination provides a calm base with a soft touch.
Kasseigrijs gives the room some depth, while Bloesemwit keeps the overall space light and fresh. This creates a children's room that can easily grow with the child and where decorations, furniture, and accessories are beautifully showcased.

Second children's room in Vanillewit and Toscaansrood
In the second children's room, wall paint in Vanillewit and Toscaansrood was chosen. Vanillewit provides a warm and soft base, while Toscaansrood adds more character and energy.
Here too, some elements in transparent Bruut were used. This creates a subtle link with the rest of the house, where texture and natural finishes play an important role.
The result is a children's room that feels playful, warm, and stylish.
