Demineralized water (demi-water) is chemically pure (distilled) water. Demi-water is 100% pure water from which all salts normally present in tap water in relatively small quantities have been removed. Demi-water is free of mineral salts and chlorine.
What is demi-water used for?
Demineralized water is technically pure water from which all salts have been removed. Demineralized water is ideal for diluting antifreeze coolant to achieve the correct frost protection. Demi-water is also suitable for lead-acid batteries. In addition, this demineralized water can also be used in: steam irons, humidifiers, car radiators, batteries, etc.
